Privacy notice

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. This page explains the little personal data that is still involved and what your rights are.

Who is responsible

The controller for this website is Petre Diaconescu. For any privacy question or request, email contact@diaconescu.dev.

Visiting the site

When you open a page, the server that hosts this site receives the technical data every browser sends: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and your browser and operating system. The hosting provider processes this data on my behalf, only to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keeps it in its logs for a short period.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts are served from this domain, so your browser makes no requests to Google or any other third party.

Language preference

If you switch between English and Romanian, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key lang. It stays on your device, is never sent to me, and you can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. This is not a cookie and is used only because you asked for it.

Contacting me by email

If you email me, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use it only to reply to you and, if we decide to work together, to prepare and carry out the contract.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or my legitimate interest in answering your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

I keep the correspondence as long as needed to handle your enquiry. If it leads to a contract, related records are kept for the periods required by tax and accounting law. I never sell your data or use it for marketing.

LinkedIn

The LinkedIn links are plain links. Nothing is sent to LinkedIn until you click one. Once you are on LinkedIn, its own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email contact@diaconescu.dev. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement took place.
